ASA Partners is a Medical Staffing and Placement Firm located in Southeastern Michigan. Their primary focus is medical staffing in the Midwest states.  They provide doctors and other medical providers for a wide array of temp or perm medical situations.

ASA Partners has a successful methodology for engaging their clients both at the entity level as well as the individual client doctor level.  To allow this approach to gain broader appeal and service an ever growing need for these services, they contact JKL Associates to assist them in identifying key characteristics of top performances that would excel in their service industry.  The main objective was to reduce the candidate pool to those that would not only work in the position of recruiter but to identify those that would flourish in the independent worker environment ASA Partners provides their staff.

ASA Partners had been exposed to the use of assessments to help them in identifying characteristics of candidates they were recruiting to their business. These tools provide information but not necessarily a framework by which better understanding and candidate dialogue could be generated.

JKL Associates initiated the project by working with the ownership and a team of subject matter experts to define and benchmark the position in the organization. The benchmark included the identification of Key Accountability factors that would be essential to the success and contribution of the role to the businesses vision and mission. The base data was identified and a job description was crafted.  This detail included a computerized modeling process to pinpoint competencies that would be desired for greatest potential for success. Part of this patented process reduces the bias that individuals may have that influence talent acquisition efforts.  This model, along with the interviewing questions produced from the model, is used in the candidate intake and recruiting process.  This effort enables ASA Partners to be time efficient and effective in identifying to a higher degree of success those resources that can contribute to their business model and achieve productive success.

ASA Partners in conjunction with JKL Associates established a candidate review process for the evaluation of potential capabilities of candidates. This approach allows for better talent to be identified and those capabilities to surface earlier on in the talent search efforts.  Once identified, the candidates participate in an online response questionnaire to allow for ASA Partners to gain insights enabling better conversation and interests to be uncovered. Part of the objective is to allow both parties to have a successful alignment of talents with job opportunities.  This reduces turnover with potential candidates that will not be engaged in their work activities after they are employed for a short period of time.  Aligning the best talent with an employment opportunity they fit into by design directs the spin up or on-boarding effort toward more immediate results and therefore both the company and employee realize success sooner in the relationship.

The process and model allows for discovery of both ASA Partners and their prospective candidate to determine the level of investment necessary to bring success to the business and the individual.  Through the use of the approach, processes, and model in a consistent way, ASA Partners have the involvement of their candidate so both can realize the objectives of the position. This allows for the acquisition of people that want to be engaged in the business and can more quickly be delivering results, maximizing their talent and being rewarded for their contribution.get started
